Tomas Kral
Tomas Kral launched his studio in Lausanne in 2009. He draws his inspiration from the traditions and tries to infuse in his objects a part of unexpected, humor and freshness.
In collaboration with HARTÔ, Tomas developed the Lubin wall mirror. This graphical element in the form of "circumflex" is a small nod to the "Ô" of HARTÔ. Tomas also designed the office collection - Charlie. A collection based on the idea of assembling two sheets of metal so that the user can create different compositions on his desk.
Kral graduated from the Cantonal School of Art in Lausanne (ECAL) where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design in 2006 and a postgraduate degree in Design in 2008. In 2009, he completed his training with a diploma of one year in MAS design and luxury industry at ECAL. Recently his work has been honored with awards such as "Leitz Innovation & Design Award" in Germany, the Federal Design Award in March 2010 in Bern, or the Red Dot Design Award in 2018.
